OLICLOUD VIRTUAL The Olivetti Virtual Servers offer for Partners
Olicloud Virtual is the Olivetti offer of virtual-server hosting services. It shifts the enterprise focus from the traditional concept of “ownership” of a server to host information and applications, to “use” of computing resources and disk space that provide the same functions as traditional servers (web servers, file servers, mail servers), and are accessed through simple broadband connections.

Thanks to Olicloud, Olivetti partners can focus on delivery of services with higher added value, independently of the actual delivery infrastructure.

Partners’ servers are “virtualised” in Olivetti’s data centres, using technologies that supply the real-time processing capability required by applications through shared use, in conditions of maximum security, of the hardware resources of today’s most powerful and reliable platforms.

The Service consists of 4 profiles, subdivided by type of Performance (Mono-processor or Bi-processor) and Operating system (Windows or Linux).

The virtual server may be associated with a series of applications supplied with a specific licence from the Software Vendor, available on a list-price basis. Applications are Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Web Edition and Microsoft Terminal Server (for simultaneous access to the virtual server with remote desktop clients).
